While in grade school, my mom & a friend's mom decided that a YMCA extended weekend camping trip in October was a good idea for us. Besides my sleeping bag, a film camera with a flash that flip out on the side (cool modern camera at the time) tagged along. At the end of the weekend, the cabin counselor gave out award certificates to each cabin roommate. I was awarded the Sneakiest Picture Taker.
In Junior High, my parents bought me a "disk" camera. The round film cartridge provided a flat camera easy to carry. In 8th grade, I took it to school with me, and thankfully, my teachers tolerated my candid shots.
Since High School, a Canon Camera nestled in shouldered bag ready for a project. Drives into the country discovered abandoned houses, and a European trip in college provided opportunity for unique shots of Art History book's entries.
Today, 2 digital Canon cameras live with me in an apartment near downtown Fargo. Charlotte, the 10lb apricot poodle, puzzles at the square thing in front of my face. Adobe software & web services opened up new outlets for shutterbugs. This 52 year old still discovers and shares through the lens.
